Matt Porter is a once and future Al-noor contributor teaching English in Turkey as a Fulbright scholar. He conceived the Turk Film Project following President Obama’s visit to Turkey in April 2009. In a speech seeking to reaffirm the alliance between the two nations, Porter realized that few Americans know much about Turkey besides that “Istanbul was once Constantinople.”
The Turk Film Project publishes short video segments, photographs, and articles to provide Americans with insight into the rich culture and diverse peoples living in Turkey.
